Introduction
In a world where the food industry continues to evolve and the power of social media continues to grow, there was a need for a marketing agency that truly understood the unique challenges and opportunities that come with promoting food brands. Enter Social Bites, a dynamic collaboration between No-Code Dan and The Smoked Out Chef. With backgrounds in branding, marketing, and the food industry, we saw a chance to bring our expertise and skills together to create a company that would help restaurants and food brands succeed in a crowded online landscape.
In pursuit of our goal to build fast and in public, we took to Twitter.com to document and showcase our journey. By doing so, we aimed to not only raise brand awareness but also provide an inside look at the process of taking a concept and turning it into a launched side-hustle. Throughout this journey, we hope to inspire others and demonstrate the potential for building and growing a successful business through transparency and hard work.
The Problem, The Who, & The Why
Before the creation of Social Bites, we identified a problem that many restaurants and food brands faced – the struggle to effectively market themselves on social media. With so much competition in the industry, it was becoming increasingly difficult for these businesses to stand out and reach their target audience.
That’s where we come in – Social Bites is the solution for restaurants, food brands, and ghost kitchens looking to take their social media presence to the next level. We understand the unique challenges that come with promoting food, and our expertise in branding, marketing, and the food industry allows us to deliver tailored and impactful solutions.
So why did we decide to execute on this solution? It all comes down to a shared passion for food and a desire to make a difference in the industry. We saw an opportunity to bring our skills together to create a company that could truly make a difference, and we couldn’t resist the challenge. By combining our expertise, we believe we can help restaurants and food brands succeed in a crowded online landscape and make a real impact in the world of food and social media marketing.
The Process
The process of building Social Bites was a true testament to the power of collaboration and technology. From the very beginning, we leveraged the expertise of Chat-GPT to generate potential business names and starter copy for our landing page, allowing us to quickly establish the tone and direction of our brand.
Next, we got to work on the design, using Canva to create a basic logo for our website and social media channels and Adobe XD to craft wireframes to bring our vision to life. As we progressed, we added more content and refined our design until we had a hi-fi version that truly represented our brand and mission.
With the design complete, we turned to WordPress and the Divi theme to bring it to life. The Divi theme provided us with the flexibility to fully customize our website and create a one-of-a-kind design with ease and speed. The website features a contact form for clients to reach out and a booking link for scheduling consulting sessions, making it easy for restaurants and food brands to get in touch and start working with us.
Finally, after months days a few hours of hard work, it was time to launch Social Bites to the world. With excitement and a little bit of nervousness, we hit the “go” button and watched as our vision became a reality. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we couldn’t be more proud of what we have built.
